volunteer

There are two ways to volunteer in Lower Manhattan on Saturday, September 10 to mark the 10th anniversary of the September 11 attacks. There's no reason why you can't do both to make it a full day of service, so please join us!

First, we need volunteers at the Hand in Hand—Remembering 9/11 event on the 10th. From check-in to traffic control to route marshals, we need lots of energetic people to make the event a success. Several shifts are available and you'll get a free t-shirt and the opportunity to be a part of a landmark event. Our partners at New York Cares are helping recruit for these roles, so please click here to register.

Second, Community Board 1 is asking you to join us after the Hand in Hand event as we give back to our neighborhood through the community service projects listed below. To participate in a community service project, please Contact: the organization directly.
